Red Island Treasures presents : Faceted quartz with blue fluorite

Incredible faceted quartz with blue fluorite inclusions from Madagascar. Very rare from a collection made from the original mine in 2005. Deposits in the region are now all exhausted and there has been no new production from this unique source, so quartz with blue fluorite inclusions are very sought after.

This specimen is a lovely water clear quartz with 15 deep blue flourite inclusions. Also some noticeable clear cavities where the fluorite crystal formed but later dissolved after breaking though the surface of the quartz.
